A benefit show for lymphoma awareness.

Stand-Up to Cancer

🎗️ come laugh. it helps.

You could stay home and doom scroll for
three hours.

Or you could sit in a room with 200 people and actually laugh like a person again.

We’re putting on a stand-up show.
Good comics. Tight room. No filler.

Some money goes to the American Cancer Society.
Some goes to making the night happen.

All of it goes toward something real.

💖 Why this exists

This show is for my mom.

She’s been dealing with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for seven years.

She’s also the loudest person in any room she walks into.

She’s a music teacher.
So naturally, she sings. Everywhere.

Chemo waiting room? Singing.
Full volume. No hesitation.
Like the place had a two-drink minimum.

The nurses knew exactly when she arrived.
Not because they saw her.
Because they heard her.

And of course… everyone loved it.
Which says a lot about her.

This night comes from that energy.

+

We partnered with the American Cancer Society for this.

They do real work.
We raise money for it..

THE LINE UP

EMCEE

KATE HUGHES

  • Kate Hughes is a comedian, overthinker, and professional finder of awkward situations. Her stand-up mixes brutally honest storytelling with sharp observations about relationships, anxiety, adulthood, and the weird things people pretend are normal. Audiences love her quick wit, unfiltered perspective, and ability to make life’s disasters sound oddly inspirational.

Beyond stand-up, Kate is an award-winning film actor who has appeared in independent films and local commercial campaigns. A familiar voice and personality throughout the Lehigh Valley, she spent more than a decade hosting a talk radio show and continues to emcee events across the region with the same sharp humor and engaging presence that define her comedy. Kate is also a producer, writer, and playwright whose work blends storytelling, authenticity, and comedy into performances that are both hilarious and deeply human.

HIGHLIGHT

doug mchizzle

  • Born and raised in Yonkers and Dobbs Ferry, NY. A child of the 80’s and lifetime fan of standup comedy. His biggest inspiration is Richard Pryor. In 4th grade, Doug wrote a story about how he wanted to do what Pryor does…make people laugh. Doug started writing jokes when he was 12. It wasn’t until a comedian friend of his convinced him get over his nerves and try it. And now, fifteen years of being a standup comedian, Doug is living out his childhood dream of making people laugh.

FEATURE

RYAN ROSSELL

  • If Ryan is trying too hard to make you laugh please just ignore him, because that means he's been day drinking again, which is why his bio looks like this.

SPOTLIGHT

JOSIAH JAMES

  • Josiah James got his start in comedy as an original member of the improv troupe The Associated Mess in the early 2000s, where he first met fellow comedian Ryan Rossell. He began performing stand-up comedy in 2008 and has since become a familiar face in the Lehigh Valley comedy scene.

His comedy mixes sharp observations, layered wordplay, and the confident energy of a guy explaining something he absolutely should’ve let go of already.

Josiah was a quarterfinalist in the Lehigh Valley’s Funniest Comedian Festival and was voted a Fan Favorite at the 2026 Allentown Comedy Festival.

Outside of stand-up, Josiah also appears in an upcoming horror feature film alongside Bethlehem native Daniel Roebuck, set for release later this year.

A national headliner will be performing at THIS SHOW AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED oN MAY 10th.
