And we’re back
In the long-awaited Season 4 premiere of The Jokes by Jo Show, Josiah James and co-host Ryan Rossell are finally back after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Titled "And We're Back", this episode catches up listeners on what has happened since Season 3 of the podcast, which was released way back in 2020.
Josiah James has been up to a lot during the break. He's been busy pitching an adult animated comedy show to the big networks, and he's also written, directed and starred in a short film called A Rare Dinner. On top of that, he's recently returned to stand-up comedy, after taking a break due to the pandemic. The episode gives listeners a sneak peek at his new material, and Josiah shares updates on the progress of his show ideas being pitched to the major networks.
The Jokes by Jo Show has always been a must-listen for comedy fans, and this season promises to be no exception. With a premise that revolves around comedians talking through their material, and then finally bringing those ideas to the stage where listeners can hear the ideas materialize into actual jokes, the show is a unique and engaging look into the world of comedy.

Ryan discusses Black Wine, his feature film he made fresh out of NYU film school. Black Wine starred Jennifer Marlowe, Anson Scoville and Billy Cook. Additionally, a small role was given to Wendy Madison Bauer, who was engaged to Luke Perry before his tragic passing. Kelly Overton had another small role in the same scene. The film was edited by the keyboardist, John Conway, of the famous rock band The Bravery. The cinematographer was Peter J. Scalettar.
